free folk is an event curation and consulting studio based off the shores of Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County. We offer planning and production for weddings, workshops, retreats, styled shoots, community celebrations and business cultivation.
free folk is invariably client and community focused. We work closely with clients to curate events that are moving and memorable. Our approach to every project is purposeful and thoughtful. We believe your event should feel cohesive and the elements should fit the venue, geography and time of year. Our event style is minimal, modern and natural.
Megan Lumgair has been enmeshed in the event industry for over 8 years. While working for a variety of venues, events and projects, she has honed in on the craft of planning and producing events. Megan has managed weddings at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works ranging from a casual, cocktail style food truck celebration to a 2-day wedding for 500 guests. She has overseen the event logistics for a variety of gatherings including the 2014 Toronto’s Festival of Beer / Spring Sessions, the 2017 Invictus Games Multi-Faith Celebration, Nike’s Done by Dawn and a private BMO / TSO Christmas Concert for three consecutive years.
When Megan is not curating an event, she can be found on her stand-up paddle board, yoga mat, meditation cushion, foraging flowers, at a festival or spending time with her loved ones. Originally from Orillia, Ontario, Megan currently lives in Prince Edward County with her partner and pup, Pinot.
